What it means to you when you’re selling or buying a home with a shared driveway. They’re not as uncommon as you might think and there are some things you need to be aware of.
If the property of interest has a shared driveway, oftentimes lenders are going to require that there is a written and recorded shared driveway agreement. So it’s super important to look for that detail so that you don’t have any problems when you get closer to settlement.
Look for that shared driveway agreement and that will detail who is responsible for the maintenance and the upkeep of that shared driveway, what the financial percentages are of each person who’s responsible and so forth.
