Just minutes outside of Lancaster City is beautiful Lancaster County Central Park, where the Rock Ford Plantation is located.

It was developed back in the late 1700’s by Edward Hand, who served as Adjutant General to George Washington in the revolutionary war. Lancaster County is very rich in history, and that’s another reason why we love it here! The plantation is the oldest intact building in Lancaster County and dates back prior to the 1800’s! The mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places. Rock Ford Plantation consists of 33 acres and surrounding it is the beautiful Lancaster County Central Park. Rock Ford has pavilions and barns on site for weddings and special events.

Here, you can explore gardens, walking trails, swim, camp and even kayak on the Conestoga River. Take a break from kayaking and picnic in the park. It’s such a beautiful area!
